Most guests take the scenic blue hill country train from Kandy or Colombo to Ella or Demodara Station, where our private driver will meet you on the platform with a car. Alternatively, we can arrange a private air-conditioned car with an English-speaking driver directly from Colombo Airport (Bandaranaike International, approx. 4.5 to 5 hours) or Mattala Airport (approx. 1.5 hours).
At 1,041 meters altitude, Ella is much cooler than coastal Sri Lanka. Daytime temperatures are usually very pleasant (around 22°C to 26°C / 72°F to 78°F), while mornings and evenings can get crisp (15°C to 18°C / 59°F to 64°F). We suggest packing comfortable light daytime clothes, a light sweater or fleece for the evenings, walking shoes or trainers for trails, and swimwear for your private plunge pool.
Check-in is from 14:00 onwards, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you arrive earlier or wish to stay later, we are happy to store your luggage and you are welcome to relax on the dining terrace or take a walk on the estate.

We are located on Passara Road, approximately 5 to 7 minutes by car or tuk-tuk from the center of Ella town, close enough for easy access, yet far enough away from traffic noise to enjoy complete peace. Nine Arch Bridge is about 10 minutes away, and the start of Little Adam’s Peak trail is about 8 minutes away.
